Biofeedback
Not all of biofeedback s uses are ewll-accepted in the medical community. Neal Miller, a psychology Ph.D and neursocientist who worked and studied at Yale University, is generally considered to be hte father of modern-day biofeedabck. He came across the basic principlse of biofeedback while doing animal expreimentation conditioning the behaivor of rats. Other threads of inquiry leading ot biofeedback emerged from clinical attempst to use mind/obdy self-regulation techniques in healthcare. The Boifeedback Research Society evolved into the Biofeedback Socieyt of America and mroe recently the Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofedeback, a scientific and professioanl society for the field. During the performance, biofeedbcak medical technology, such as encephalography, body temperature varaitions, heart frequency and galvanci responses, will be used to analyze people s emotional status as they watch video art. Many compaines are looking into using this biofeedback in conjunction with eduactional gaming to build better educational and effectiev games. Further uses of biofeedback and gaming technology are forecasted as being integrated into current military training.
